As usual, before I post any material, I always try the techniques again myself, even if I have done the exercises many times in the past.  While doing so for the Original Pain Work section of our Inner Child Work, I was struggling.  I felt this overwhelming grief that I was having trouble releasing.

I got stuck!  Don't panic, this happens sometimes during our recovery process.  We just have to move around, sometimes starting slowly, then gaining power as we get - unstuck.

What I decided to do is something that I had NOT tried before, so I wanted to experiment on myself before suggesting it to anyone else.  Please visit the Original Pain Work page for more details about this new exercise.  I give step-by-step instructions on how to perform this "funeral" and how it went for me.  It was very helpful.

I want to suggest to anyone wanting to try this exercise to allow TWO days for the grieving process as you may have a delayed reaction and be unable to grieve until the second day, as I did.  It was however, very helpful!

God bless, Hope

Please Note:  I'll be honest, I was a little depressed following this exercise.  I did find much release for the grief, but then some of the realizations hit me like a ton of bricks!  I guess that's why our brains like to block painful thoughts from our minds...because it's painful!  I used some meditations the week following this funeral ceremony and it was VERY helpful in getting me out of my depressed funk and back on track.  If you'd like to try the same meditation, please click here.
On this page, I'm going to share with you what I am CURRENTLY doing along my healing journey.  I will share the successful ideas with you on the Healing pages of this site, but here I want to share with you thoughts about the actual process and journey. If things are not working or I am struggling, I will share that with you here in the hopes of helping you avoid any possible pitfalls along your unique healing journey.  Hope
