As usual, before I post any material, I always try the techniques again myself, even if I have done the exercises many times in the past. While doing so for the Original Pain Work section of our Inner Child Work, I was struggling. I felt this overwhelming grief that I was having trouble releasing.
I got stuck! Don't panic, this happens sometimes during our recovery process. We just have to move around, sometimes starting slowly, then gaining power as we get - unstuck.
What I decided to do is something that I had NOT tried before, so I wanted to experiment on myself before suggesting it to anyone else. Please visit the Original Pain Work page for more details about this new exercise. I give step-by-step instructions on how to perform this "funeral" and how it went for me. It was very helpful.
I want to suggest to anyone wanting to try this exercise to allow TWO days for the grieving process as you may have a delayed reaction and be unable to grieve until the second day, as I did. It was however, very helpful!
God bless, Hope
