  Re-Parenting Your Inner Child
Now that you have met your inner child(ren), acknowledged, embraced and affirmed them and found the nurturing parent within you, it is time to build trust in order to re-parent your inner child.  John Bradshaw, author of Homecoming: Reclaiming and Championing Your Inner Child, says, "Championing your inner child is a way to become a new parent to yourself."

In order to champion or re-parent your inner child, she must trust you.  One way to build trust with your inner child is to ask forgiveness for neglecting her through the years since you were a child to the day you acknowledged your wounded inner child(ren)'s existence, as an adult.  To learn ways to establish trust, apologize and achieve forgiveness, please click on the link above.
